TYTHEGOD Taking Off As Expected
Already released on all streaming platforms April 4th, this 4 piece EP provides different vibes with messages anyone can relate to. TYTHEGOD wanted to do everything to make sure his fans understand his versatility. “I want to speak and appeal to all genders and characters”. From his wordplay, to delivery and creativity, TYTHEGOD’s music seperates itself on its own. With no disrespect to other artists, TY proves there is no one able to compete with him. With the overall inspiration of life behind the EP, TYTHEGOD wants his audience to understand no one is alone in what they may be personally battling. “We all take Ls and have to live with them but it’s all about the shake back”, states Ty.
Reigning from Independence, Louisiana, approximately 40 minutes outside of Baton Rouge, TYTHEGOD had been exposed to violence and crime. Using music as a therapy to cope with his surroundings, his grandmother started teaching him piano which led to the foundation of his sound. TYTHEGOD could be classified as a rap artist but features much versatility. He also features multiple tones and flows on the same verse sometimes, making his vibes impeccable. Being open and honest about his struggles has helped him relate to a lot of his fans. Looking to push his own narrative in the industry, Ty looks to be an artist who speaks truthfully throughout his music.
From underdog to recognition, TYTHEGOD looks to continuously put the pedal to the metal into his music. With a standout performance at ATLTOP20, this lead to significant streaming growth. Being at a point where his fans wanted more, “The Gospel” takes a look at personal trials and tribulations throughout each of the four songs. “My favorite lyrics from this release aren’t actually lyrics. It’s an interlude that I wrote that was voice acted by a friend of mines and it appears in the song Coldplay after the second chorus”.
