Aiming for an early August release, rising artist Ugly Brandon has been working on a collection of tracks for quite some time. The title, “Ugly Brandon: The Mixtape”, is simple, as he looks to make an introduction to the music industry. Always feeling like an outcast or outsider, Ugly Brandon intends to reach those who feel like they are “goofy” or “weird”. Not relying on one specific sound or style, Ugly Brandon harps on the wide variety of music genres that are out there. Being versatile is a lost act in today’s music world, something that Ugly Brandon always brings to the table. Sometimes even in the same song Ugly B will blend a R&B verse and Rap verse. This is a talent that separates Brandon from the other upcoming artists out there.
Fueling this project for Ugly Brandon was a lack of confidence he says, “I got frustrated that I had all these ideas in my head and none of the confidence to put those things out into the world. I feel strongly about my craft and my abilities so I hit a wall of “Will I or Won’t I?”. I guess it’s obvious what I chose.” A favorite song on the upcoming mixtape is a remix to his already released “Made It”. With the goofy vibes on this track, expect to see nothing less when the mixtape drops. For now keep streaming his latest single “Starlight”, which saw lots of support from fans.
